Fall Equinox Sound Journey & Potluck

Please join us as we welcome the cool clear days of autumn with a Healing Sound Journey followed by a potluck supper at our dear friend and “host with the most” Jerry Wilson’s lovely home in Peachtree, NC. The sound journey will be outdoors, weather permitting, under the beautiful shade trees surrounded by open fields and the backdrop of Braden Mountain. Step out of the chaos, soothe your nervous system, and bathe in the sounds of nature along with the resonant healing tones of Himalayan & crystal singing bowls, flutes, gongs and other assorted instruments from around the world. Rosie has been performing her healing sound journeys for over 25 years and brings a special kind of magic to her sound healing events. She is renowned for creating other-worldly deeply relaxing soundscapes.

For those who wish to stay and enjoy the beautiful setting and Jerry’s unique home in the company of friends, old and new, the sound journey will be followed by a potluck. All are welcome. There is plenty of parking and easy access, both indoors and outdoors.

Bring your own lawn chairs, blankets and cushions for your comfort.

Summer Sunday Kirtan!

Please join me for an evening of chanting the many names of the divine. Kirtan takes the form of simple call-and-response chants, or mantras, which embed themselves deeply into the heart and the psyche, infusing the spirit with a multitude of feelings and emotions- longing, joy, sadness, ecstasy and all the many varying shades in between. The practice is simple and beautiful, the experience can be profound.

What is kirtan? Jai Uttal says it beautifully, "Kirtan is the calling, the crying, the reaching across infinite space — digging into the heart’s deepest well to touch and be touched by the Divine Presence.

Kirtan is singing over and over the many names of God and the Goddess, the multi-colored rainbow manifestations of the One. It is said that there is no difference between the name and that which is being named, and as the words roll off our lips in song, the Infinite is invoked, invited, made manifest in our hearts."

The kirtan will be followed by a potluck for those who wish to stay longer. Please bring finger food or a dish to share.
