Good morning from the hills of western North Carolina. In the summer I don’t get much sun in my house because there are so many trees surrounding it- to the point where I sometimes feel a bit claustrophobic and long for more open space. The beautiful thing about winter here in my house is that the trees are bare surrounding my house and the sun pours in the windows. We had a hard frost last night and when I looked out this morning there was a layer of crystalline hoarfrost over the hillside. I took photographs of the sunlit living room with the long shadows of the Himalayan singing bowls on the rug in the early morning sun.
I’ve had a beautiful meditative morning so far, drinking only water, doing a kundalini warm-up followed by Sat Kriya with the beautiful music of Simrit as accompaniment. I feel quiet inside. And grateful.
