Okay, I wasn’t sure what I was going to write about until I came across this video. Of course, it was the usual rabbit-hole. I went to YouTube to watch something completely different and clicked on this instead. Who knows what the original motivator was! Nothing needs to be said here. It speaks- and sings- for itself!!!
Okay, so now you’ve had a good laugh. The guy is brilliant.
Meanwhile, a little update. Just got back from Durham, NC last night where I had a wonderful Thanksgiving visit with a friend I met when I was 17 at a dance camp in Colorado (Stephens Perry-Mansfield in Steamboat Springs) and had not seen- or talked to- since, until about two weeks ago! Part of my exploration and settling in despite my resistance to being in a new place- reconnecting with old friends and a part of the country I really did not know at all… As I like to say, I did not “relocate” here but was “dislocated” due to the pandemic and life circumstances surrounding that. A few weeks ago I finally surrendered in full and said, “Okay, this is where I am. I need to get a life.” And life has been flowing towards me in big wonderful waves ever since. Meeting new friends, finding old friends, potential venues, discovering wonderful music, and just generally saying, “Yes” to the universe.
